After the plumbers’ infamous movie outing in live-action in 1993, Super Mario Bros has already become the biggest movie of 2023 so far, having recently passed the $1 billion mark.

As a collaboration between Nintendo and Despicable Me’s Illumination, the film boasts a huge cast with Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Seth Rogen, Jack Black, and more.

With the film absolutely crushing at the box office – it’s already one of the highest-grossing movies of all time – here’s everything you need to know about how to watch The Super Mario Bros Movie.

Is The Super Mario Bros Movie on streaming?

The Super Mario Bros Movie is now available to stream at home on Peacock.

It can also be bought or rented digitally via on-demand services including Apple iTunes, Vudu, and Amazon. This means you and your family and friends can enjoy it from the comfort of your home. However, it will set you back a fair few dollars, with the film currently costing $24.99 to rent and $29.99 to buy.

Since it’s a Universal Pictures title, The Super Mario Bros Movie will remain on Peacock for a little while. As for Netflix, an earlier report by TV Shows Ace claimed the film could arrive on the streaming platform by October 2023. This is due to an agreement between DreamWorks and Illumination, with animated movies coming to Netflix four months after streaming on Peacock, where they’ll remain for 10 months.

How to watch The Super Mario Bros Movie

The Super Mario Bros Movie is still available in cinemas right now, or can be streamed, rented, or purchased digitally.

Its theatrical release was originally set for April 7, but Universal moved it forward so it could hit more than 60 markets on the same day. For audiences in Japan, it arrived on April 28.

You can also buy the movie on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD on Amazon Prime, with prices ranging between $19.99 and $29.99.
