Step 1

Wash headlight lens to remove surface dirt.

Step 2

Use 1 oxidation wipe per headlight and use glove to apply wipe to headlight lens with continuous overlapping motion for 2 minutes. Wipe will remove yellowing and lens discoloration. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Step 3

If lens to be cleaned is next to painted surfaces, use masking tape to protect these painted areas.

Step 4

Apply Lens Clarifying Compound to a cotton cloth. Rub compound on entire lens with firm pressure for 1 minute. Buff with clean terry cloth. Clean one lens at a time. If lens is restored at this stage, use glove and apply Ceramic resin wipe. Coating will dry in 10 minutes. (1 wipe will coat 1-2 average headlight lens. Use 1 wipe per lens on large lenses.)

Headlight lens clarity will dramatically improve with proper use of this Kit. Cracked, micro-cracked, severely pitted lens will become clearer. Headlights water fogged from the inside of the lens or severely weathered lenses may not return to original condition.

Directions for sanding pads’ usage:

Step 1

For light oxidation: This is a condition where the lens has a light white or yellow haze: Apply Lens Clarifying Compound and buff with a soft cloth. Clean both headlights. Apply Ceramic resin wipe wearing glove. Apply to both headlights. Resin will dry and cure in 10 minutes.

Step 2

For heavy oxidation: This is a condition where the lens has a milky coating and a rough surface. Sand only the areas that did not come clean with Lens Clarifying Compound. Using a cup of water and a paper towel, wet the lens and sanding pad first. Begin rubbing the Step1 green colored pad (2400 grit) with firm finger pressure, using a back-and-forth motion, and continue until much of the oxidation is removed. Use the cup of water or a spray of water and a paper towel as needed to keep surface and sanding pad wet. Immediately switch to the Step 2 tan pad (3200 grit). Rub back and forth in the opposite direction (90 degrees) of the last pad used for about one minute, keeping pad and surface wet with water. Clean both headlights. Finish by applying Lens Clarifying Compound, and with light buffing with a soft cloth. Apply Ceramic resin wipe evenly wearing glove.

Step 3

Sanding: Lightly oxidized lenses will require about 1 minute to complete the process per side of pad. Heavier oxidation will require more time.
